[Kyneton Guardian]

The annual tea meeting of Woodside Church, Tylden (Rev. Ingram Moody's), was held on Wednesday, 24th March 1875. The attendance and the weather were all that could be desired.

Mrs. Edwards and a choir from Kyneton gave some excellent singing, the soloists being Mrs. Edwards, Miss Howarth, and Mr. Daniel, their respective pieces being "Resignation," "Far Away," and "Comfort ye, my People." The choir sang several anthems, Mr. W. B. Attwood presiding at the harmonium.

Mr. M. K. Armstrong occupied the chair, and the speakers were the Rev. Messrs. Richmond, Gregson, and Moody, with Mr. James Hutcheson and Mr. Whitfield Raw.

The customary votes of thanks to the ladies, choir, and speakers were moved and seconded in complimentary terms by Messrs. David Evans, junior, and Thomas Clowes, junior. The Rev. Mr. Moody moved and Mr. James Hutcheson seconded a vote of thanks to the chairman which brought the proceedings of the evening to a close.

There could not have been less than three hundred present, and the burden of general remark was respect for the aged pastor of the church, and enjoyment of the entertainment provided by the Committee.
